You my dear, right there sitting wherever you are, not matter what you are wearing, no matter who is or isn't with you, no matter what people have been saying about you are VALUABLE!  You are amazing, you make a huge impact on this world and you are needed.  Not because you have been through some huge ordeal, or because you have done (or are going to do) some huge great thing, or because you have a special skill set or because you make a lot of money or anything else.  You make an impact and are valuable because you are you.  You don't have to do anything to earn that, you don't have to prove it.  Please just know you are loved and you are worthy.

Whew.  I really needed to get that off my chest.

Right now in this time of year (especially in Minnesota where I don't think the sun has come out in weeks) is HARD!  You have the stress of bills from over extending at Christmas, you have the pressure of living up to those huge goals you set for yourself, it is the time the kids are sick and need you, and it is cold and dreary with seemingly nothing to look forward to.

This is the time, when you are completely depleted that you need to look around and see who is supporting you.  Who fills your cup, who is there to hold you up.  Because as awesome as you are, you can't do it alone.  I know because I have tried that method.  It doesn't work.  And the more you try to give the more you falter.  You can not give from an empty cup.  It doesn't work.  It never has, and it never will.  So right now I invite you to take a deep breath and do something just for you.  It could be as simple as taking 3 deep calming breaths, or going for a walk, or making yourself a cup of tea.  Whatever it is, do it just for you, because you are worth it.

I started my day listening to one of the most amazing, giving, and inspirational women in my life saying she wasn't special and I thought to myself, 'Don't you know? Don't you know how much of an impact you make?  Do you really think you aren't that special?'  Then I chatted with a woman who told me I was amazing and inspirational and my response was 'I'm not all that special.'

Woah.  I did the same thing.  And you know what?  I realized why.  I  don't feel like I am doing anything anyone else can't do.  I don't have a special skillset, I am just a bit more stubborn and have an amazing group of supportive people behind me.  But just because I am not doing something 'special' doesn't mean that I am not amazing or inspirational.

The same is true of you.

You make a difference in this world.

You are amazing

You inspire those around you.

And whatever the voice inside your head (or maybe even a horrible voice outside your head) is telling you, you absolutely matter, are worthy, and people want and NEED to hear what you have to say.

If I have learned anything over the last few months it is that my belief that no one wanted to know what I was up to was a lie.  And if you have the same belief, please know yours is probably a lie too.

So please. Take care of yourself.  Share your story.  Find the people who will support you and love you on your journey.  Because you matter.
