With anywhere between 50 and 65 flavors available at any given time, and over 100 that I have carried over the years, I know that it can be hard to narrow down which ones would be good for you.
To help you get to know the flavors and find one you may have missed I am introducing a new series called Tea Tuesdays.
Each Tuesday I will be spotlighting a new tea. Talking about the flavors, how I make it, who might enjoy it, and most importantly, a special deal on that tea, good for one week only.
We are starting off the tour with Chocolate Caramel Swirl
I have to start out by thanking my good friend Audrey for helping me come up with the name for this tea. I often get asked how I come up with the teas. Sometimes I ask my kids, sometimes I come up with a name and the tea follows, sometimes I go with the obvious, and sometimes I am just at a loss and someone tries it and suggests a name. That is the case here.
This is a wonderful black tea. It has chocolate, caramel and just a hint of vanilla all swirled together to create a delightful blend.
As a black tea it has a higher caffeine content making it a wonderful treat in the morning. It is like that caramel mocha, without the high caloric count.
Many people are a bit concerned that they won't like chocolate in tea. There is an assumption that there is going to be a 'fake hot cocoa' flavor to it. Most everyone who tries this tea however, is pleasantly surprised. Since all the flavors are extracts that come from the actual ingredients, there isn't any artificial taste to the tea.
While this isn't a direct replacement for your hot cocoa, if you are looking for a delicious guilt-free treat to get your mind off the chocolate. I highly recommend the Chocolate Caramel Swirl.
